For beginners, the route of the Bike Arena Sauerland – from Hallenberg Galgenberg to 20 km through the fields of the Hochsauerland. Beautiful! For those who would like some motor support, you can start with e-bikes. And for the pros, just head to Winterberg.

Nuhnetal cycle path Hallenberg from the Edersee
Cycle along the idyllic Nuhne valley to the beautiful Edersee lake. The 30 km long route starts in Winterberg-Züschen.
Your first destination: Hallenberg As a guest of the DIEDRICH Wellnesshotel & Spa, it makes sense to start here. Follow the "Aue" (cycle path R49) in the direction of the nature reserve Nuhnewiesen. The tour continues on the former railway line and the nature trail Nuhnewiesen and leads through the charming countryside to Allendorf/Eder. There you take the Ederradweg, one of the top cycling routes in Germany, which follows the Eder from Siegental to its mouth in the Fulda. The route takes you to the 12 km² large Edersee. How about a swim before you head back on your Hallenberg bike?

Bike Arena Sauerland
More than 1,700 kilometers of cycling trails … the Bike Arena Sauerland consists of a vast network of trails and Hallenberg is connected to them with mountain bike and road bike tours. The routes have been analyzed by the German Sports University Cologne and are divided into blue (light), red (medium-heavy) and black (heavy) trails.
