Kitchen specialist (m/f/d) Training
Two-year dual training program with one to two days of vocational school instruction per week. People who enjoy working in a team and with their hands are particularly well suited to working in a kitchen. Daily life is characterized by handling and processing food. Manual dexterity, care, and a good sense of taste are helpful in this regard. Time pressure is common in the kitchen, so it helps to be able to handle stress well and be physically fit. The new vocational training program for kitchen specialists is aimed at anyone who wants to learn professional cooking from scratch in a practical way, but is less interested in theory and numbers. Kitchen specialists are familiar with the basics of cooking: they learn how to process and prepare all kinds of food. They know how to prepare simple meals and dishes made from meat, fish, and vegetables. They can prepare and garnish salads and desserts and make simple soups and sauces. To do this, they learn different working and cutting techniques and cooking methods, as well as how to use recipes and kitchen appliances. They can also receive and store goods and are familiar with hygiene.
Training to become a kitchen specialist takes two years. After successful completion, the training company and trainee can agree to continue the training and obtain a qualification as a chef.
