The sauna area at the DIEDRICH Wellnesshotel & Spa features a total of five saunas, a snow grotto, and a relaxation area. The Swiss stone pine sauna and the large Finnish sauna offer warming moments of well-being as you gaze directly out into nature through large windows. Here, it’s easy to forget the stresses of everyday life for a few moments as you feel the pleasant heat on your body and gaze out at the lush greenery. For sauna-goers who prefer it a bit cooler, the smaller Finnish sauna offers gentler temperatures. A steam room is also waiting for you to discover it. The difference from the Finnish sauna lies in the temperature and humidity. The steam bath features lower temperatures of 40–50 °C, but the humidity is significantly higher. In the sauna, on the other hand, you’ll experience a drier heat. The Tecaldarium, the Roman sweat bath, is also an experience for all the senses. Here, various senses are actively engaged. You’ll experience colored lights, pleasant sounds, and soothing scents. Thanks to the snow grotto, you can now treat yourself to a cool refreshment right in the middle of the sauna. Snow falls here all year round, providing a pleasant, unique way to cool off. From the relaxation area, you can look straight up at the sky through the pool water. The large skylight in the sauna’s relaxation area creates fascinating plays of light while you tune into your body and find holistic relaxation. From the sauna area, you also have direct access to the outdoor area, where you can enjoy the moment in the fresh air.

In addition to the inviting sauna area, the wellness center at the DIEDRICH Wellnesshotel & Spa in Hallenberg near Winterberg has even more to offer. Various areas ensure that you’ll quickly find relaxation. These include a large outdoor infinity pool, a light-filled indoor pool, the stylish “Zeitlos” relaxation area, the fitness room, the “Haus der Mitte,” and our trained spa team, who will pamper you with a soothing massage, for example. The architecture of the swimming pool is reminiscent of a Roman columned bath. As you linger in the pleasantly warm water of the pool, you can let your gaze wander through the natural surroundings.
