Willingen - 42 minutes by car from Hallenberg
Although strictly speaking it is no longer in the Sauerland, Willingen somehow belongs to it. Strictly speaking, Willingen is part of the Upland, which already belongs to the Rothaargebirge and is located in northern Hesse. Just like Winterberg, Willingen is a well-known winter sports resort, which also has an international name due to the Mühlkopfschanze, a station of the annual FIS World Cup ski jumping.
