Cook (m/f/d) Apprenticeship
3-year dual apprenticeship with 1 to 2 days of vocational school per week. The kitchen is particularly suitable for skilled and creative people who enjoy working in a team. Daily life is characterized by handling and processing a wide variety of foods. A keen sense of taste, diligence and culinary curiosity are helpful here. There is often time pressure in the kitchen, so resistance to stress and a certain level of physical fitness are an advantage. Chefs are real culinary experts. Their main task is to prepare dishes and menus. To do this, they learn all the important working techniques and interesting facts about food - from meat and fish to plant-based cuisine and desserts. Cooking is both a craft and an art. But cooking is by no means the end of the story, chefs are the professionals for all processes and planning in and around the kitchen: purchasing, storage, menu creation are all part of it. They organize the kitchen and work together with the service team. Quality and guests' wishes are the measure of all things.
